Plant sale to bloom in Auburn

-A +A

The Auburn Garden Club’s annual plant sale will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church parking lot, 1279 High St. All perennial plants and trees offered for sale are grown in the foothills and are well-adapted to foothill soils and conditions, organizers said. In addition, one of the club members will sell tomato and pepper plants, started in his home greenhouse. The sale will include indoor houseplants, pots, garden-related items, baked goods and gardening books. Proceeds from the plant sale fund the club’s grants program, which awards local non-profits grants of $200 to $1,500 to use in projects that provide education, natural resource conservation and beautification of landscapes, natural areas and gardens of Placer County.
