Police make arrest at Auburn store burglary site
By: Journal Staff Report
Police are reporting catching a burglary in progress inside an Auburn business overnight Monday. A burglar-alarm call sent Auburn Police officers to the 600-block Auburn Folsom Road business. They found the front door ajar and a security door open before entering, Sgt. Victor Pecoraro said Tuesday. While checking the perimeter of the business they looked inside and saw a man carrying items around the store and gathering more, Pecoraro said. Police arrested the man, who was identified as 31-year-old Kevin Scott Stovall Jr. of Auburn. Stovall was booked into Placer County Jail at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday on a felony burglary charge and an allegation of providing false identification. Bail on the two charges was set at $195,000.
