Profiteers: Don’t game the ADA

Why is the law protecting those engaged in these ADA lawsuits (Journal, Nov. 11)? The courts know; they are filed for profit and harassment reasons. There is a pattern here of filing frivolous lawsuits which should be thrown out of court. The disabled should be protected and so should those trying to survive in the work world. The law should protect innocent people, not profit-seekers. Those who engage in illegal practices for money need to be held accountable for their actions, regardless of the laws they use to benefit themselves. ALLEN CASSIDY, Auburn
