Promises aren’t enough to repair broken government

Midnight kisses Listening to promises made by current presidential candidates reminds me of a verse in the song, “When I fall in love.” To paraphrase it, “Too many election promises (When I”m elected, I’ll ...) seem to fade in the warmth of the sun.” Let’s be realistic! Is either candidate strong enough to produce legislation to support these promises, or are they words merely designed to portray themselves as the only choice?
