Good reporting and pictures on the High Street Auburn incident where the woman’s car —and almost the woman — was impaled by a tree-top that had blown off one of the trees at Placer High School (Journal, March 25). Over the years I have spent thousands of dollars on care of the trees at our house in Auburn with the object of protecting both my family and my neighbors. I can’t help but wonder what the “Forestry Demonstration Project” (sign visible in your published pictures) at Placer High School is demonstrating? Obviously not how to keep trees trimmed for safety. How about a little concern from Placer High School district for the safety of its neighbors? Ralph Eavenson, Auburn
