Public deserves share in gold

-A +A
I have been curious about PG&E and the Nevada Irrigation District cleaning out the flumes in the area of Dutch Flat. They charge us for cleaning these flumes. But, I have never heard it mentioned how much gold they remove from this cleaning process. The area is extremely rich with gold. The canals are nothing more than sluice boxes that stretch for miles. Do they deduct profits they make from the gold, from what they charge us? Peggy McCray, Auburn
