Put Rudd on college board

This year, we have the opportunity to elect a terrific candidate to serve our community on the Sierra College Board of Trustees. Howard Rudd is a longtime supporter of Sierra College, having served on the Sierra College Foundation board for the last 12 years and also serving to monitor spending on the Bond Oversight Committee for the Tahoe/Truckee Campus. As a financial planner and small business owner, Howard will bring a great experience and perspective to the college’s board of trustees. The college faces significant challenges due to the financial cutbacks by the state and a person of Howard’s experience would be well positioned to make the difficult decisions that are ahead. Howard’s extensive work to support Sierra College is only part of his history of community service. He has volunteered his time and talents as a member of the Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Foundation, Roseville Arts, Peace for Families and the Placer Community Foundation. He is also a past president of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce. On Nov. 2, I urge voters to elect a dedicated community volunteer and put Howard Rudd on the Sierra College board.
