Reader input: Act of honesty was appreciated

-A +A

Yes, editor, there are still honest individuals in Auburn.
On Monday, April 8, at 7:15 p.m. as I was leaving Save-Mart  I left my purse in the shopping kart as I put it with the other karts. I joined my husband and we drove, 15 minutes, home to Cool. As we got out of the car, I suddenly realized my purse was missing. I was frantic at the loss of my handbag.
On the 15-minute ride back, I suspected the worse and prayed for the best.
Needless to say that was the longest ride of my life. When we arrived at the store, I quickly went in and asked the checker if a purse had been turned in. When they said yes, I almost cried and said thank-you Lord. I was able to identify the purse and of course my ID identified me.
Everything was still in my purse. I asked who returned it and was informed a customer.
To that unknown customer my everlasting thank you and may God bless you!
