Reader input: Bring back US-made goods

-A +A

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out. While our eggheads in government keep spewing out the rationale and data, all we need do is look at the labels in our stores.
I recently visited major department stores in Auburn and the Roseville Galleria. Guess what? I only found two items in the men’s section that  were made in the United States. We used to be a nation that produced many products but not anymore. Our own leaders have allowed us to be sold out to every country in the world and now they want us to focus on other reasons, or even make it a partisan issue. Ugh!
It’s bungling at all levels from Washington, D.C. all the way down to our county and city.  Just drive thru the Bel Air shopping center and count the empty holes in the wall. Our leaders and so-called managers have only left us with fewer jobs and blight. Next voting time we need to throw the bums at all levels out.
