In 2012, our death toll in suicides in the military (349) was higher than the deaths in combat (229), according to the Associated Press.
Why is this happening and why isn’t there something being done about this?
Is it from post-traumatic stress? What is happening out there where these people signing up for duty are in return just taking their own lives?
How does that have any logical thought?
Personally, if my men were dropping like flies in my military, I would definitely do some research on why someone would rather take their own life than wait to come home, and then I would figure out a way to give them the help they need.
