Here we go again! We just received our letter from the county of their intention to again increase our sewer rates. When we bought this home in 1997, our rate was $37/month and has steadily increased to $82/month, and now with this increase, it will be almost $96/month.
Why are we the only ones who are getting hit with this increase? Why is Lincoln not increasing rates? Why does the city pay under $60/month? Why couldn’t the supervisors put a better deal together for us (there were other options)?
I will be at the meeting on May 7 with my protest letter and I urge you all who live in the county to participate and protest, as well. We need better solutions without another fee increase!
