I was very pleased to see the Auburn Journal’s editorial (“Don’t dismiss signs of Lyme disease,” Our View, Jan. 18.) The Auburn Journal has done a wonderful job of raising awareness about this dangerous and growing disease and this editorial can only help.
If only we can educate the populace and medical community about the different symptoms of Lyme, we can save many people from suffering. As your editorial says: “The misdiagnosis ... of those with Lyme disease needs to stop now ... the silent, undiagnosed community of victims with Lyme Disease shouldn’t have to suffer silently anymore.”
Thank you so much for this attention to a national health crisis!
