Reader Input: Lion’s smarts questioned

-A +A

At first I was upset that one more mountain lion got the death sentence for the crime of observing a hiker in his territory (“Mountain lion stalks Stevens Trail hiker,” Journal, Feb. 21), but on reflection, it’s probably better that we got this particular critter out of the gene pool because he was dumb, not because he was dangerous.
This opinion is based on the rumor that the cat came back the next day to watch the warden putting up the warning signs. If that’s not stupidity, I don’t know what is.
