Reader Input: Maybe it’s time to drop union

-A +A

The picture on page A9 of the Auburn Journal on Nov. 6 (depicts) retired Raley’s employees.

Since these women are retired, do they have to pay union dues? And are they getting paid to picket?

The current employees who are on strike get a daily small amount paid to them from the union. So, do the retired receive pay from the union to show up?

By the way, the UFCW presidents get paid very high salaries, big SUVs, big benefits from all the union dues.

Maybe the employees should save their money and vote out the union.
