I just heard about the tragic accident on Auburn Folsom Road Sunday night (“Two local girls dead after rollover accident,” Journal, Feb. 4).
I urge all parents to enroll their newly licensed teenage drivers in “Street Survival” or similar comprehensive hands-on driver training.
The primary emphasis of the Street Survival program is a “hands-on” driving experience in real-world situations. Students use their own car and are taught its handling limits and how they can control them.
My older daughter attended the class in Reno about four years ago and I am convinced it made her a much safer driver.
