Reader Input: Research first, write second

-A +A

Alas, once again someone who is knowledge-challenged has written their bias toward things he knows nothing about (“Understand amendment II,” Reader Input, Feb. 1). He writes about the Second Amendment and of course, as usual, he did not check his facts before writing his vile contribution to the uninformed.
The Supreme Court in 2008 and again in 2010 issued two landmark decisions officially establishing this interpretation. The court ruled the Second Amendment protects an individual’s right to possess and carry a firearm, unconnected to service in a militia (armed forces) and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home! Also, the court ruled the Second Amendment limits state and local governments to the same extent it limits the federal government.
I have read your retorts for over a year now and every time I have gone to the Internet to check your statements.
So far, nothing in your facts had any truth to them. Maybe if you (Ron Lowe) would do some research before writing you would be able to see more clearly.
