There is talk of a new sports complex for Placer High School (“Placer launches $1 million drive for sports complex,” Journal, Nov. 28).
Its construction has a pretty high price tag for this community.
Is it really feasible at this time of economic decline to consider such a project? Probably not!
When people are still struggling, we need to invest in their welfare, not game playing.
We should devote our economic resources toward helping the less fortunate and small businesses which have to pay fees to support those in government who benefit the most from the taxpayers. We each need to focus on the concerns of the less fortunate and stop catering to those that have.
