The families of the Loomis Union School District and Del Oro would love to have answers from the school and/or Placer County Sheriff’s Office as to why, in light of recent school tragedies, when a suspected armed man was being sought only blocks away, was the school not placed on lockdown (“Loomis liquor store robbed at gunpoint,” Journal, Jan. 17”)?
Nor were families advised on the first incident at Star Liquor? And when we were emailed we were told the suspect had been “contained immediately.”
Something is very wrong with this situation. The community should have answers.
