Regional Park’s an Auburn jewel

At a time when state parks are facing shortfalls, we appreciate the jewel of a park that we have in Auburn. Regional Park is a well-maintained, beautiful, quiet retreat that we enjoy several times a week at various times of the day. We see little kids on the playground, people playing a pickup game of soccer, older folks walking their dogs (on leash), birds swimming in the pond, groups picnicking and high school kids taking a break from school. The grounds are almost free of trash because the friendly staff is diligent about keeping it clean and manicured. In addition, people of the community, including us, daily pick up the little trash that exists. It requires a community that cares, as well as the Auburn Park District, to have such a nice park.
