Republican Party abandoned this voter

Obstructionism (win by losing) seems to be the color of the year for the right-wing extremists! If Mitch McConnell, John Boehner and Eric Cantor can block any hint of bipartisanship cooperation, then the current administration would be thrown out and the demagoguery of the current tea party activists would survive (current Time magazine report) and gain a total majority in the legislature and perhaps a new administration. This tyrannical group (re: Grover Norquist and his band of brothers) will have accomplished something that is scary and would deal a severe blow to our democracy (read the Bush family’s take on these characters). By the way, birthers, why was George Romney, born in Mexico, John McCain, born in Panama and Barry Goldwater, born in Arizona before it was a state, allowed to run for president? Hmm? It couldn’t be because they were white, conservative males, could it? Also, I have never voted democratic in my life — voted for John McCain last time around and am a retired military person who spent 23 months in Southeast Asia, hardly a left-wing radical. Again, the Republican Party left me, not the other way around. The size and authority of the Federal Government is the true objective, with budget and deficit issues being convenient “Trojan Horses.” Geary C. Tiffany, Auburn
