The Roseville High softball team rallied for three seventh-inning runs off Del Oro ace Savannah Pingree, beating the host Golden Eagles 4-2 in Sierra Foothill League action Wednesday to snap a 12-game win streak. “It crushed us,” coach Sean Erickson said. “We let them hang around all game.” Del Oro (15-3, 2-2 SFL) took a 2-1 lead in the fourth, but the Tigers (10-3-1, 4-0 SFL) used a hit-by-pitch and a clutch single down the left field line to plate three runs in the final frame. Pingree allowed two earned runs on six hits. “She threw well, but Roseville’s the first-place team in the SFL,” Erickson said. Del Oro mustered only four hits against the Tigers. Annette Merjano went 1-for-2 while Ciera Clark, Aspen Echelmeier and Whitney Smith each went 1-for-3. The Eagles look to start a new streak when they travel to Oakmont Friday afternoon.
