Sierra College is one of the most important educational institutions for our community, serving everyone from recent high school graduates to returning veterans to individuals looking to find new skills in today’s challenging economy. For the last seven years, I have had the privilege of working side by side with Howard Rudd as we served on the Sierra College Foundation, a group of volunteers who raise money for scholarships and program enhancements at Sierra College. Howard Rudd is now running for the Sierra College board of trustees and would be a great addition to it. His dedication to the college is long-standing: a member of the foundation board for 12 years and a member of the Truckee Campus Bond Oversight Committee. As a trustee, Howard would bring this knowledge and understanding of the college as well as his expertise as a financial planner and his deep involvement in the community. He has served or is serving in leadership roles with the Roseville Chamber of Commerce, Auburn Faith Sutter Hospital Foundation, the Placer SPCA and the Placer Community Foundation, to just name a few. Howard Rudd will do what’s right for our community and put his lifetime of experience to work for us. On Nov. 2, I encourage people to vote for Howard Rudd — he will do what’s right for Sierra College. Bill Halldin, Rocklin
