Auburn speedway rider Tommy Hedden talked with riders at Saturday afternoon's Fast Friday's Motorcycle Speedway practice at the Gold Country Fairgrounds.
Hedden was giving the riders advice on the proper way to lay down a speedway bike instead of hitting a fallen rider.
The practice can save serious injury to the riders.
Riders later took to the track to practice on the track for the upcoming Fast Friday's opening day on May 10.
John O'Neill of Reno, Nev., was seen practicing his lay down techniques, a safety move to avoid hitting other riders who have fallen.
"I'm glad they are talking about safety," O'Neil said. "We have to watch out for each other."
