The Colfax Salvation Army extends our thanks to all the service clubs and churches in the area for their participation in the bell ringing during the Christmas Kettle Campaign. The Colfax High School “S” Club also provided student volunteers daily, and we appreciate their enthusiasm. Of course, we thank all the contributors to the kettles, as well as those donors sending checks of substantial amounts mailed and brought into our office, and some cash donations made anonymously. All these donations put us close to the $12,000 mark, which is a substantial increase from last year. This is our main source of income and the funds from which we purchase food for the coming year. Our monthly food purchases average $1,400. Again, thanks to everyone in this community for your hard work and contributions. God bless and happy new year.
