Santa Claus loves Auburn

Each year it is amazing to see the thousands of people who line our streets for our Festival of Lights Parade. The Auburn Chamber of Commerce with the help of our sponsors makes our city streets come alive with music, parade floats, food and fellowship between citizens. Santa Claus always keeps the first Saturday of December for Auburn because he just loves our town. Thanks, St. Nick! However, none of this would be possible without the financial support of our community. A special thank you to Raley’s/Bel Air for being our first-ever presenting sponsor. And nothing happens without the volunteers who work for months planning, staging, placing signs and garbage cans, lining the parade route to keep us safe and then clean-up afterward. These people are not hired but are business owners, students, police officers and retired citizens. They are our neighbors and friends who make living in Auburn such a wonderful life. On behalf of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce I want to thank all who came out to see the parade and wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Steve Galyardt, Festival of Lights Parade chairman
