Save a pet this holiday season

To those readers who watched the heartwarming Hallmark TV movie “A Dog Named Christmas” Sunday, Nov. 29, I would like to direct your attention to the many dogs locally that need foster homes. It is a matter of life and death for dogs in danger of dying in overcrowded shelters. The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we can pull from scheduled death at local shelters. Please don’t just watch this movie and think, “that’s a good idea” and then do nothing else. Please think about the lives you can save by calling and offering to be a foster home for Scooter’s Pals. You can save the life of a wonderful dog. Go to our web site, and look at our dogs (click on “Adopt”) to see our dogs that need a temporary (foster) home until their forever home can be found. All of our dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered, wormed, heartworm-tested and microchipped. Scooter’s pays for their food and vet needs should any arise while the dog is in foster care. All they need from you is a warm home and open heart. Please call. Susan Wallace, Nevada City
