Seen & Heard: Soroptimists induct new officers

-A +A
Soroptimist International of Auburn held its annual board installation dinner on Aug. 22 at the beautiful Winchester home of Kay Whitaker, the Soroptimist Sierra Nevada Region Governor Elect. Soroptimist International is a vibrant, dynamic organization for today’s professional and businesswomen. They are committed to a world where women and girls together achieve their individual and collective potential. Newly installed president, Kelly Fulfer of Community 1st Bank in Auburn, accepted the honor of being chosen as the 2008-2009 president saying, “Over the years I have come to learn that Soroptimists are amazing women who care about their community, their country and the world.” Kelly also thanked Ann Bryant, past president, for all her hard work and showed a wonderful film clip of all the accomplishments of the 2007-2008 board. Kelly’s theme “Setting the World on Fire…From Apathy to Action” was embraced by her 12 newly appointed board members, who will lead the organization and make a difference for girls and women not only in Auburn, but also in Placer County and the world at large.
