Shop too easily overlooked

Thank you for your informative article about the Streetscape project (Journal, July 30). The closing of Lewis Street (not only is the street closed, but the street sign has been removed!) has severely impacted our little shop, St. Luke’s Victorian Attic Thrift Shop. We have always been one of the “best-kept secrets in Auburn,” and now the few who knew we are here, think that we are closed. We are very active in helping to fund local charities such as the Boys & Girls Club, Interfaith Food Closet, Peace for Families, Salvation Army Thanksgiving and Christmas programs, as well as a clinic and school run by Episcopal nuns in the Dominican Republic. Thank you for letting the community know that we are open. Carol Roy & Phil Beukema, Managers, Auburn
