Soldier’s heart belongs in Auburn

I just wanted to say that I read the Auburn Journal online almost every day. Truth is, it simply keeps me tied to home. Serving as an Army combat medic in Korea I find myself missing Auburn every day, and not just my family and friends, my loved ones who have been supporting me every step of the way. I miss picking fresh mandarins and wild pears off the trees. I miss playing with my dogs and hiking in the canyon. I miss the welcoming feeling that’s everywhere in my hometown. I am so thankful to one day be coming home to such an amazing place. While I love everything about Korea and my service here, my heart truly belongs in Auburn, California.
