Some not told of Sierra College bomb scare

As a student at Sierra College attending class this Monday (April 20) I wonder if they are truly prepared for any sort of emergency. A short time into the start of our class, another professor came and informed us that the campus was being evacuated. After our professor confirmed with Campus Security we packed up and left. However, on the way out I stopped by the study lab to find that they did not know of the evacuation. Leaving the building, I headed to another building where a friend was attending class only to find that they had not been informed either. In fact, there were three classes in progress in that building. There must be a better way, or even one way, to notify teachers and/or classes that there is an emergency rather than relying on word of mouth. Rob Kanngiesser Auburn
