Hailey Stockman is making the most of her last spring on the softball diamond. The Placer High graduate isn’t finished yet, but she picked up a huge honor on Wednesday when she was named Most Valuable Player in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The Chico State senior led the Wildcats to a third place finish in the regular season. Stockman is hitting .333 with 10 home runs and 55 RBIs. In conference play, the slugging catcher batted .336 with eight homers and 43 RBIs. Chico State is 34-14 overall and finished 25-9 in the CCAA. The Wildcats will take on Cal State Monterey Bay to open the CCAA Championship Tournament on Friday in Stockton.
