Tea Party must address issues

April 15 was a big day for the Tea Party movement. The Tea Party wants to reduce taxes (“Taxed Enough Already”) and also reduce the continuing national debt. I’m all in favor of lower taxes and less debt. In the past, tax breaks were supposed to result in economic stimulus, but tax breaks under Bush and Reagan produced more debt and little economic stimulus. I’d like to know how the Tea Party proposes to reduce taxes while reducing our national debt. Those are commendable, but conflicting goals. However, the Tea Party is silent on solutions to this dilemma. Ron PAITICH, Auburn
