Thanks to the community for Earth Day support

-A +A
Protect American River Canyons and California State Parks would like to thank all the volunteers and donors who came out to celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up trash along the American River in the Auburn State Recreation Area. The clean-up was a huge success. Volunteers filled a 40-yard Dumpster primarily with trash tossed off the Foresthill Bridge or dumped along the roads that lead to the river. Thanks to the community for such a fantastic turnout. As we turn our attention to outdoor activities in spring and summer, it’s a good time to keep our beautiful wild and scenic river and canyons free of trash discarded by inconsiderate people. Let’s make it Earth Day every day when in the American River Canyons! Please join PARC in celebrating the American River and all the opportunities to enjoy nature it brings to our lives at Confluence Festival on Sunday, June 8. Visit our Web site, parc-auburn.org, for more details. Keep it wild! Keep it scenic! Keep it clean! Eric Peach For PARC, Auburn
