There’s still time to bid farewell to 2009.

The Power Club and Ballroom hosts a multi-faceted party that begins at 8 p.m. tonight and includes a comedy act featuring Brian Scott Jagger, three live bands, hors d’oeuvres, a dessert bar, no-host bar with drink specials, a champagne toast at midnight, karaoke, and DJ dancing from midnight to 2 a.m.

Tickets are also still available for PlacerArts’ Rock’n New Year’s Eve Party, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at the Arts Building, 808 Lincoln Way.
PlacerArts’ 21-and-over party features live music by the James Moseley Band, hors d’oeuvres and a midnight champagne toast.
Tickets are $35 if purchased by 5 p.m. Tickets will also be available at the door for $40.

Start 2010 on the right foot Friday by participating in the 10th annual Resolution Run, which begins at 1 p.m. Jan. 1, allowing those who party tonight plenty of time to sleep in.
The race offers 10-mile, 10K and 5K options. Registration is held 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday. Races start at 1 p.m. at Overlook Park, 855 Pacific Ave., Auburn. Cost is $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger.
