Saturday, Dec. 17
Placer Nature Center hosts the Wild Things Sewing Circle from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3700 Christian Valley Road, Auburn. The center is looking for volunteers to help create fun, nature-inspired costumes for kids. The group will create a Wild Things Costume Box for children that will include local wildlife, native plants and fungi. New volunteers are welcome any time to the free task force. Celebrate a beloved holiday tradition at the 25th annual Country Christmas in historic Old Town Auburn. Tuesday, Dec. 20
The Placer County Office of Education’s iLearn Academy holds its third Tuesday class event, the iLearn Marketplace, from 10 a.m. to noon at 16825 Placer Hills Road, Meadow Vista. The class entrepreneurs are ready to market and present their Biz World products. After four weeks of designing, manufacturing and developing business plans, student-based companies will sell their items to help raise funds to support class and school programs.
