Time to sharpen hold-up photos

Bank security photos … I know that the surveillance camera equipment is operated using video. My question is, why can’t they create a clearer image for the newspapers? I would think that showing the public something better than a blurred image would help identify the suspect and lead to arrest. After talking with our local police and the Sacramento F.B.I. office, I’m told that the banks are responsible for such equipment. Newspaper bank hold-up photos have forever been cloudy and not clear. It’s time to catch potential thieves, protect customers and staff and deter robbery. After two in the past week any new ideas would be appreciated. MEL BARTON LEE, Auburn
