Todd Morgan closes PlacerArts summer concerts

-A +A

PlacerArts’ 2012 Summer Series concert season comes to a close Sunday, July 15, with a performance by Todd Morgan and the Emblems. The Auburn Library Garden Theater is the venue for this popular free, open-air concert series, celebrating its 24th season.

Since 2007, Todd Morgan and the Emblems have been delighting audiences with their sound and performance style. The band is led by singer/songwriter/pianist Morgan, whose original music takes elements from every faction and era of American music from 1920s and ’30s jazz to present-day pop and rock, and everything in between, creating a familiar, yet fresh and modern, sound. Their emphasis is not only on the music and lyrics, but also on visual performance.

The band consists of Morgan on piano, Jerad Williams on electric guitar, Jessica Luna on bass and Cameron Womack on drums. Morgan also performs as a singer and dancer for the band.

Bring low-backed chairs, blankets and picnics for an evening of music in the outdoor theater. No refreshments available.

A host of sponsors and community volunteers makes this concert series possible. Harris Industrial Gases and the Auburn Rotary Club are the sponsors of the July 15 concert.
