I was interested in the article (Journal, Sept. 30) that compared the two candidates for Placer County’s Office of Education Area 4 seat. In these hard economic times I choose to put my vote with the experienced, hard-working, Ken Tokutomi. He not only is a licensed C.P.A., with a B.S. in accounting and a master’s degree in taxation, but chairs the Salvation Army Advisory Board and, as the incumbent, helps manage Placer County’s Board of Education budget of $88 million.  Having worked with Ken over the past 20-plus years on many projects, I have personally witnessed his tireless energy to help people in need, with the ability to get the job done in an efficient manner. He is what we need on our PCOE board now more than ever. Ken gets my vote. Paula Celick, Auburn
