Tourist kiosk an unneeded toy

How foolish it is to spend thousands on a kiosk (Journal, Nov. 30). In a down economy, you don’t waste money on such things. You either spend it on the people or you save it for an emergency. You need priorities when it comes to the benefit of the people who need it the most. Taxpayers’ money should not be used when you have less to spend on them. We need to invest in people, (jobs/social services) not on things you can’t eat! Here’s a simple suggestion for those who want to learn about history. Go to the library and read a book on the subject, and if you need a toy to play with, go to a toy store. ALLEN CASSIDY, Auburn
