Tree planting a big success

I would like to thank all the eager volunteers that came out to plant trees at the Auburn Ravine Park on Oct. 30. We had an excellent turnout of around 60 volunteers, who planted 50 native trees which will provide esthetic benefits, shade and at the same time protect the ravine’s banks from erosion. Everyone worked very hard, and there efforts will benefit the Auburn Ravine for many years to come. I would also like to give a very special thanks to John Williams and Shawn Colvin for all there expertise and guidance with this project. It would not have been a successful project without them. Everyone’s efforts are greatly appreciated. Cammie Morales, Lincoln
