Two measures worth support

As I see it, there are two measures on the local ballot that need our support. Measure L, the Auburn Union School District measure, would channel the $59 cost per parcel for property owners directly to the classroom and the students. This is a small amount, but by avoiding our educational administration hierarchy, which normally controls the budgeting and performs other obscure functions, this money at the classroom level will surely benefit our children and community. The other measure worthy of support is Proposition 21. Our state parks are invaluable in so many ways; treasures that provide serenity, beauty, history, recreation, education and outdoor life. The cost we must approve is $18 per car. That’s less than six gallons of gasoline. Please support these measures with me. Jerry Reeves, Auburn
