Seven out of nine witnesses recanting their coerced testimony and more failures in the initial police “investigation” than can be enumerated here were not enough to create a doubt, and so we killed Troy Davis. It seems we have no collective conscious and now have Davis’ blood on our hands. One hundred, thirty-nine countries worldwide have repudiated capital punishment as unfair, poorly administrated and immoral. It’s a shame not to mention a colossal waste of money that the U.S. has not yet come out of the cave. PATRICK R. LITTLE, Auburn
