Ryan Frew’s video, “Life Is Mandatory,” was shown at the State Theatre last Saturday. It was a great success. Two showings were scheduled but a third one had to be added because more than 300 people wanted to see the video. After the first two showings panel discussions were held. These interfaced local homeless providers and law enforcement officials with the audience, and proved to be very educational. It was heartening to me to see our community engaged in learning about homelessness and what we can do to help with homeless issues. I want to apologize to those who were inconvenienced by an error in posting an incorrect starting time on our website. I also want to thank the steering committee and event sponsors for a fine effort. Paul Ogden, president, Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center, member, Salvation Army Advisory Board, Auburn
