Vote in support of local children

I am writing in support of Measure L, and in support of our children, our community and our property values. There is no doubt that there is room for improvement within the public school system, but we should have the courage to challenge those redundancies and top-heavy, self-serving policies head-on, not on the backs of our children. Measure L gives a very affordable ($59) short-term stopgap (five years) with an opt-out option for our most vulnerable population (seniors) directly to the classroom. Without strong school and community backing of the schools, we would see a decline in demand by families that value education to live or move here. Keep our schools strong, our community’s appeal to families that value education high and refuse to fix the structural deficiencies of the public school system on the backs of the kids.
