Watershed ideas to flow at Placer County Water Agency's Auburn forum

Watershed health will be the focus of Placer County Water Agency forum April 29 in North Auburn. The forum – part of the agency’s continuing public outreach to support an informed watershed community – includes panel discussions on public and private lands management. The list of speakers penciled in for the event includes Tom Quinn, Tahoe National Forest forest supervisor, Brett Storey, senior management analyst with Placer County, and Cal Fire forester Matt Reischman. Discussion will range from reducing the risk of damaging fires to management techniques for better forest health. No registration or admission is required for the watershed forum, which will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Ridge Golf Club, 2020 Golf Course Road. Representatives from several groups and businesses, including Sierra Pacific Industries, Sierra Business Council, Sierra Nevada Conservancy, Pacific Gas & Electric Co. and Protect American River Canyons, will be present to provide information and answer questions from the public.
