Auburn celebrated the 50s with the second week of Wednesday Night Live. This week’s theme was “Retro/American Graffiti.” Bruce Cosgrove, CEO of Auburn Chamber of Commerce, was very excited for this week’s theme. “I just thought that it would be fun for everyone to take a look back at the 50s. Remember the cars, the music, and reminisce about the good old ‘Happy Days,’” Cosgrove said. When asked about last week’s first Wednesday Night Live, he said, “It went really well. It most definitely exceeded our expectations and had great attendance.” There were many things to do at this week’s event. People could participate in Auburn’s Got Talent, get their face painted, or just groove to the music that was being played by the live entertainment, the Rhythm Express Band. Lisa and Eric McMabb were watching as the Insync dancers took the spotlight. “We own a business up the street and wanted to know what was going on down here,” Lisa McMabb said. When asked why they set up their booth at this week’s event, Shawna Czerwinsky of La Dolce Vista Hair Studio said, “To build relationships in Auburn and promote our business as well as to support other local businesses in Auburn.”
