Weimar Hills School’s robotics team “BEBO” received the Programming Award at the FIRST LEGO League North American Open at LEGOLAND San Diego. The team competed against 64 other finalist teams from the U.S., Canada and Mexico. BEBO also finished No. 11 in the robot performance portion of the competition.

BEBO’s accomplishments during the 2011-2012 FLL robotics season include:
Regional Qualifying Tournament (Granite Bay): Firstplace Robot Performance Award. This award recognizes a team that scores most in the robot game. The teams compete in three 2.5-minute matches, and their highest point score counts.
1st place Champions Award: This award recognizes a team that embodies the FLL experience by fully embracing the league’s core values while achieving excellence and innovation in both the robot game and the science research project.
Northern California Capital District Championship Tournament (William Jessup University, Rocklin): Second place Champions Award: This award recognizes a team that embodies the FLL experience by fully embracing the core values while achieving excellence and innovation in both the robot game and the project.
