Alyssa Devon White of Foresthill and Joseph Lewis Martin of Auburn were married on May 30, 2009 at the home of the bride’s parents Mark and Robyn White, of Foresthill by the groom’s father, Pastor Jeff Martin. Her father gave the bride in marriage. She graduated from Placer High School in 2007 and graduated from Elite School of Cosmetology in 2008 and is currently employed as Hairstylist for Casablanca Salon and Spa. The groom graduated from Maid in 2007 and is currently employed at In & Out Burger. Taryn White, the bride’s sister of Foresthill served as maid of honor. Sierra White, the bride’s cousin of Auburn and her cousin, Heather Boyce, of Rocklin served as bridesmaids. The groom’s cousin, Lilly Martin of Rohnert Park served as flower girl. The bride’s nephew Ivan Sanchez of Foresthill and her cousin Hunter Boyce of Rocklin served as ring bearers. Tom Martin, the groom’s brother of Auburn served as best man. Keith Culley of Auburn and Mark White, Jr. of Foresthill served as groomsmen. The bride’s maternal grandfather Lee Boyce of Foresthill served as usher. The reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Also in attendance at the wedding were the bride’s paternal grandmother, Pauline White of Grass Valley and paternal great grandmother Helen Wallace of Grass Valley, the bride’s paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack and Shirley White of Cleveland, Tenn., and the groom’s paternal grandmother, Emma Martin of Sacramento. The newlyweds took a Cruise of the Hawaiian Islands and now live in Auburn.
