Wind-up radio, KAHI a savior

I would like to thank Auburn’s own radio station, KAHI, for the incredible, continuous coverage of the fire Sunday. We live in Christian Valley and when our power went out at about 4:30, we had only an emergency wind-up radio as a source for hearing “the latest.” For hours we listened, wondering whether or not to evacuate, and the amazing staff at KAHI kept us informed and up-to-date, finally sharing the news that the firefighters had formed a parameter and that there would be no need for us to leave our homes. We have many heroes in our community – and at a time like this we can fully realize our good fortune living here. Thank you to all who helped make this less of a disaster than it could have been, and bless those who were devastated by loss. Karen Nunley, Auburn
