“It’s unbelievable,” says Flo Gingerich who celebrated her 100th birthday July 3. She thought she’d never make it. A good mind and a quick sense of humor contribute to her longevity, she claims. The centenarian still manages her own household with the help of a neighbor who provides many of her meals. She is active in AARP and often attends luncheons at the Senior Center and even gets in a game of bingo now and then. Three birthday parties were held in her honor, one with the AARP group, another with her Sunday School class and July 3 with a few kin folk and friends at Applebee’s. She is still a good mixer and loves a good party.
